Welcome to Diabla Films — a self-made production company with over 15 years of shorts and mini-series production under our belt.
It all started in a small San Francisco café, where sisters Molly and Shannon Gazay founded what was then called Diabla Productions. Not long after, Molly's best friend and Diabla soul sister, Christine Jovan, joined in, and together they began producing live variety shows around the city. When they got their hands on a camera — and a cameraman, Sean O'Connor — a whole new world opened up. From there, the group started weaving video production into their live shows, blurring the line between stage and screen.
Molly and Sean eventually packed up for Seattle, where they shot their first mini-series, before landing in New York City, where Diabla has since produced a string of award-winning shorts and mini-series with great friends.
Now, we're deep in production on our biggest undertaking yet: Bad Blood Project.
Diabla Films is the 2.0 version of what started at the Claddagh Cafe in the Excelsior district. Launching our never before archive as we count down to Bad Blood Project’s debut and a new chapter of Diabla comes to life!
